Murder On The Orient Express

The greatest cast of suspicious characters ever involved in murder.

A adaptation from novel of Agatha Christie’s novel of same name, this movie is a master piece of all cast suspense thrillers. The Belgian detective played by Albert Finney and colour full cast of all supporting charater including “Sir Sean Connery“.

Story revolve around a businessman’s murder in The Orient Express,Finney who is asked by his friend Bianchi (Martin Balsam), a train company director, to investigate the murder of an American business tycoon, Mr. Ratchett (Richard Widmark) aboard a train and the suspects are twelve in number and all have different story and accounts about the night of murder.

The most brilliant part of this movie is it’s line production, the location and train itself gives the feeling of 1934’s Europian culture. One of the best Christie novel adaptation ,as Christie itself said,“It was well made except for one mistake. It was Albert Finney, as my detective Hercule Poirot. I wrote that he had the finest moustache in England — and he didn’t in the film. I thought that a pity — why shouldn’t he? ” :)

A thriller with lot of humor and nail bitting scenes.Check out a conversation between the detective and one of the lady suspect.

Bianchi: You mean you saw the man? You can identify the murderer?
Mrs. Hubbard: I mean nothing of the kind. I mean there was a man in my compartment last night. It was pitch dark, of course, and my eyes were closed in terror…
Bianchi: Then how did you know it was a man?
Mrs. Hubbard: Because I’ve enjoyed very warm relationships with both my husbands.
Bianchi: With your eyes closed.
Mrs. Hubbard: That helped.
