New York

New York (Movie)

This movie is to be seen from the perspective of international students, and is basically about events of 9/11 right in New York. For most of us, larger events in the world are just headlines in the newspapers but these events can change our lives… forever.

Cast : John Abraham, Katrina Kaif, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Irrfan Khan

The film is one such contemporary story of the friendship, which is set against the larger than life backdrop of a city New York, which is often described as the centre of the world.

The story is about the beautiful lives of 3 young friends, whose beautiful lives are turned upside down by larger events that are beyond their control. How the situation changes the entire life of people and the nation is to be seen in the movie itself.

The story revolves around the suspicion and trauma that most Muslims went through post 9/11. The atmosphere of fear and prejudices which seemed to have engulfed the nation are portrayed without going overboard and without losing the tautness and tenacity of the storyline.

Watch this one!

Rocket Singh – Salesman Of The Year

Rocket Singh – Salesman Of The Year

This is really a good movie. i really liked the fact that the characters seemed real and the storyline was believable.

The film is based around the current market recession and will primarily focus on the current indian economy and market scenario. Director/Writer combination of Shimit Amin & Jaideep Sahni, after acclaimed success with Chak De! India, will be making Rocket Singh – Salesman of the year.

It is also the first time that the writers of the movie are being given a share in the limelight of the inital promotions of the movie.

Must watch!

Delhi 6

Delhi 6 (Music)

After a gargantuan success with SLUMDOG MILLIONARE, A.R Rahman returns to music with none other then Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and this time with something better then all his previous works.Well, that happens every time Mr. Rahman sits down, composing superb music.

Every time I sit down writing a review for him, its a treat for me as a listener to hear something on which you can dance, enjoy the silences, and get ready to feel alive all over again and fall in love. .Well that’s a little going overboard, but I am seriously contemplating compiling a list of Rahman’s most enduring music albums.

Delhi 6 has most of the signature Rahman tunes – westernized fills, classical vocals and an overall funky and fresh feel. We just have to wait for the movie now because many of his songs grow on us only after listening to them for a while.to listen to Delhi 6 songs. You can also . Enjoy

Recommended tracks : ” MASAKALI”,, “GENDA PHOOL”, “REHNA TU” and “ARZIYAN”.
