Dreams in Prussian Blue

A shower would have been heavenly but the locality they lived in, water was precious—the only time it fell from above was as rain.”

A story of young couple in love, Michael and Naina,Michael a young painter, dreaming to be a great artist. He is moody but brilliant. The protagonist Naina is his lover and eventually turned his care taker due to his blindness after an accident.

The book is a very brilliant attempt of in depth of woman’s secret garden,Naina hold her dreams for a man who is self centric and his life revolves around his canvas. But it’s not other woman centric book but it’s a urban story where relationships are driven by situations and emotions also play a major role but secondary to situations.

The insight of Paritosh Uttam as a author is delightful and his understanding of woman behavior and mind is commanding. He crafted this story with situations and emotions.

“We both want you to be happy, Naina.’ Her father’s voice softened but she was not mollified. ‘Please do not bear the responsibility for other people’s happiness, Papa. It’s too heavy a burden to carry.”

It’s great read not very heavy and rightly a metro read.
