Revolution Roulette – Poets of the Fall
Helsinki, Finland born and based, rock band Poets of the Fall formed in 2003 around core members Marko Saaresto (lead vocals, guitar), Olli Tukiainen (guitar), and Markus “Captain” Kaarlonen (keyboards and production). Having built their own studio, the band were able to release a single — “Late Goodbye” — shortly thereafter. By January 2005, the Poets had a number one album at home with their debut Signs of Life. For their hard work, the band was rewarded with the Best Debut Album of the Year and Best Newcomer of the Year trophies at the following year’s Emma Awards (a Finnish version of the Grammys).
The third album from the lyrically driven Poets of the Fall is harder and heavier than their first two releases, this one is more guitar and beat driven, but still features the sonorous vocals and deep songwriting you’ve come to expect from POTF.

Delhi 6 (Music)
After a gargantuan success with SLUMDOG MILLIONARE, A.R Rahman returns to music with none other then Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and this time with something better then all his previous works.Well, that happens every time Mr. Rahman sits down, composing superb music.
Every time I sit down writing a review for him, its a treat for me as a listener to hear something on which you can dance, enjoy the silences, and get ready to feel alive all over again and fall in love. .Well that’s a little going overboard, but I am seriously contemplating compiling a list of Rahman’s most enduring music albums.
Delhi 6 has most of the signature Rahman tunes – westernized fills, classical vocals and an overall funky and fresh feel. We just have to wait for the movie now because many of his songs grow on us only after listening to them for a while.to listen to Delhi 6 songs. You can also . Enjoy
Recommended tracks : ” MASAKALI”,, “GENDA PHOOL”, “REHNA TU” and “ARZIYAN”.
Kaminey (Music)
Kaminey (Music)
The music of Kaminey is surprisingly one of the freshest albums of 2009. The music is an eclectic mix of upbeat sounds and vague drifty themes. The highlight of the album, of course, is the chart busting track ‘Dhan Te Tan’. In short, the music of Kaminey is quite reminiscent of the music of Omkara. There are two remixes on the album – Dhan Te Nan and Raat Ke Dhai Beje which have inflated beats and tempo.
The title track of Kaminey is a soothing number with piano fills and painful vocals beautifully sung by Mohit Chauhan. Another track which is elegantly done on the piano is Pehli Baar Mohabbat. However, one can sense a certain repetitiveness in the music. What makes this track different are the poetic lyrics that do strike a warm chord. Nothing unique in Raat Ke Dhai Baje – the tunes contain basic dhol beats and some melodious fills. The vocals are decent and pleasant.
Dhan Te Nan is a nice vibrant track which features a faintly similar tune. Though I cannot recall it, but I am quite certain that we have heard this signature trumpet/sax tune somewhere before. Nevertheless, the tunes on this one convey the basic themes of Kaminey – a thrilling, action packed suspense.

Gulaal Music Review
The film has some very melodius music the first opening track being ‘Aarambh hai prachand’ also followed with ‘Duniya a track which pays a tribute to Guru Dutt’s Pyaasa which is wonderfully and poetically original. The song is both a loves song and a lament. With the wonderful poetries within the songs which pay a tribute to yester years poets, one feels the need to stand up and applaud these poetically original songs.
Shilpa Rao sings a soulful song ‘Aisi Sazaa’ which takes the listener into a beautiful trance. ‘Raat Ke Musafir’ is a totally mood song that works largely because of the pure magic of the words within the song.
The sound effects and the overall volume of the other tracks ‘Sheher’ and ‘Yaara Maula’ are a mesmerizing treat to the ears.
Euphoria : Re-dhoom
Euphoria : Re-dhoom
Euphoria are back to rock again with Re-dhoom, a new exciting album featuring thirteen electrifying numbers like Dhoom, Hind Rock, Rock Sako To Rock Lo & more.. Euphoria came back with Re-Dhoom, it is the 6th album of the Indian Rock Band Euphoria.
Euphoria is among the first to bring the rock culture to India. They mixed electric guitar with traditional instruments like the tabla, dholak and sitar to create mesmerizing effects. The band lineup has often changed through the early nineties and attained stability after 1998. But still they Rock the young hearts of India.

Kandisa – Indian Ocean
Kandisa – Indian Ocean
Indian Ocean is a group whose music can bring spring in the bleakest of winters, and can make you feel the gentle tappings of raindrops even in a desert. This album, which perhaps has been their greatest hit album, includes the superhit “Kandisa”, an anthem of sorts in colleges across the country! Sad that the exposure that such a talented group should get is limited even in today’s consumerist and experimenting times.
The songs in this album are really melodic & beautiful. The music simply catches you, and takes you on a journey, where you realize that you actually love this music, not just like it. It is timeless, free of ageing, and has that earthy touch to it that makes it look ground-hugging, and at the same time, wafting through the clouds…
Go ahead and get this album. You’ll not regret this investment, because unlike most of the other music that you’ll ever hear.
Definitely recommended!!
Nevermind – Nirvana
Nevermind – Nirvana
Nirvana was an American rock band that was formed by singer/guitarist Kurt Cobain, bassist Krist Novoselic and drummer Dave Grohl.
Nevermind is the second studio album by the American rock band Nirvana, released on September 24, 1991.
Despite low commercial expectations by the band and its record label, Nevermind became a surprise success in late 1991, largely due to the popularity of its first single, “Smells Like Teen Spirit”. By January 1992, it had replaced Michael Jackson’s album Dangerous at number one on the Billboard charts.
This album is host to some of Nirvana’s best songs. Smells Like Teen Spirit is the most popular, and easily recognizable. It’s also probaly the most important, as it helped launch them into fame. The clean intro is a staple to up and coming guitar players looking to learn some of their favorite songs.
Come As You Are is one of my favorite tracks here. It’s got a wonderful guitar line, good vocals, and some fairly decent lyrics. “And I swear that I don’t have a gun” repeats Kurt during the bridge. Lithium is also a fan favorite, with it’s frequent shouting during the chorus and soft vocals during the verse. It also contains a great line in “I’m so horny, but that’s okay/My will is good.”
Nirvana was one of the biggest acts in the 90’s…. Definitely recommended!!!
Down to Earth – Ozzy Osbourne
Down to Earth – Ozzy Osbourne
Ozzy’s “Down to Earth” album is a triumphant return to the Ozzy of old. It has a sound somewhere in between “No More Tears” and “No Rest for the Wicked”. Great guitar riffs & rhythms and decent guitar solos.
Ozzy Osbourne is the most sentimental man in metal – and tough enough to let it show in “Gets Me Through” and “Dreamer,” the two best songs on Down to Earth. The first is a thumping thanksgiving, Osbourne’s admission that he is nothing like you think and would be even less without his fans. “I’m not the kind of person you think I am/I’m not the Antichrist or the iron man,” he sings, punning on an old Black Sabbath song title in the first verse before going all tender in the second: “But I still love the feeling I get from you/I hope you never stop, because it gets me through.”
He writes and sings about looking into the abyss – so you know which way to run. He’s never done it better.
A must listen!!
David Bowie: Best Of Bowie
David Bowie is a cult figure in the scene of 70s and 80s,but his music still haunts me.He gave electro music a heart full of emotional.Still we like to put him in the scene of art and culture that’s the relevance of his art.In the BBC’s 2002 poll of the 100 Greatest Britons, Bowie ranked 29. His voice and intellectual depth in his music is very indigenous to space odyssey. This album contatins most of all masterpicese creted by him.
Cat People(Put on Fire):-This is my favorite song from this album.Quentin Tarantino used Inglorious Basterds and it is the best interpretative use of any song in movies in recent time. His voice and tempo makes the scene of Shosanna waiting for her revenge so cold and dashing.
The Man Who Sold The World:-Sometimes when we are not sure about our identity than this song take the relevance and shape of it’s own.It shows the Bowie’s struggle with God and religion.Nirvana recorded this for their 1993 MTV Unplugged performance.
Space Oddity:-The song tells the story of Major Tom, a fictional astronaut who cuts off communication with Earth and floats into space. After watching 1968 Stanley Kubrick movie 2001: A Space Odyssey,he wrote this song.BBC used this during coverage of the moon landing.:)
All other songs like muscular glam-rock (“Suffragette City,” “The Jean Genie“) to R&B (“Young Americans,” “Fame“) and post-punk flirtations (“Ashes to Ashes,” “Fashion”) to the dance-club hits (“Let’s Dance,” “China Girl,” “Modern Love”) and ’80s one-off duets (“Under Pressure” with Queen, “Dancing in the Streets” with Mick Jagger) shows the versatility of his music and character.
Enjoy David Bowie “The Man who Sold The World”!
3 Doors Down – 3 Doors Down
3 Doors Down – 3 Doors Down
When a band that’s been around for a while decides to self-title its next album, that sometimes indicates that the group wants to reintroduce itself to its audience, reminding fans why they fell in love with them in the first place. It certainly seems to be the case with 3 Doors Down.
Relying mostly on mid-tempo numbers, 3 Doors Down is a reliably melodic affair that highlights both the band’s streamlined approach and lead singer Brad Arnold’s angst-filled vocals.
Overall, the band members aren’t radically experimenting with their winning formula – understated drums paired with churning guitars – and consequently 3 Doors Down opts for a safe middle ground between weepy ballads and fiery hard rock.
Nevertheless the tracks are great and melodic.
Give it a try!!

Definitely a must listen!!
