To Kill a Mockingbird

"Mockingbirds don’t do one thing but make music for us to enjoy. They don’t eat up people’s gardens, don’t nest in corncribs, they don’t do one thing but sing their hearts out for us. That’s why it’s a sin to kill a mockingbird."

To Kill a Mockingbird is a Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Harper Lee published in 1960. Harper Lee tells of Scout and Jem’s childhood in Alabama and how a series of events shook their innocence, shaped their character and taught them about human nature. But it’s so relevant in any society and any time.
It deals with heavy issues–racism, oppression, injustice. Amazingly, it is able to handle these deep and sensitive areas without feeling depressing or preachy. Lee accomplishes this by making the narrator a child and allowing us to learn along with her.
One of the best read till date sometimes it will take you to your childhood.Enjoy it
