Good Harbor – Anita Diamant

This book is completely different from The Red Tent., you wouldn’t even know it is the same author except for the care and detail she puts into the writing. I love that Ms. Diamant is able to switch from a far more serious “heavy” books like The Red Tent

One of the main characters in this book is a writer who feels like she “sold out” by writing a romance novel, which turned out to be hugely successful and she actually enjoyed writing but was embarrassed to tell anyone it was hers, even going as far as to write under a pen name. I wonder how much of the author of this book wrote about herself when developing that storyline.

This is a lovely, heartwarming story that is perfect for a lazy weekend.
