Vampire Weekend

It’s the debut album of Indie-rock band with same name. The afro drum effects with happy-clinic like mood all the way is specialty of this album ,all the songs take you to a work of afro pop.

I was not very big fan of Indie pop bands prior listening to this album and really connected to type of music they are creating(in Indie Pop). All the songs are brilliant piece of music.I started with “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa” and hanged on it for at least 10 times at one go.

Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa:-Every time I hear this song ,the intense screaming (like ooooooooo)like African style, later I get to know about the fact that Kwassa Kwassa refers to a dance rhythm from the African country of Congo. One of the refreshing tune.

Oxford Comma:-It’s song about meanings or feeling come first than the content. It’s a critic piece for elitism,in 19th century oxford English intellectual used oxford comma like if you say “he,she, and you” is an example of Oxford Comma rather than simply using “he,she and you”,a simply symbolic meaning of elitism,Elite who like to critisez you any how :) ,song is as refreshing and magical.Andrew Grillo of Click Music described it as having a “woozy organ and a half arsed guitar solo that masterfully straddles the line between inept and charmingly unstudied“.

Mansard Roof:-Click Music described this track as “beautiful, high-brow indie-pop sparklers that feel like sunshine and roll through the body like smoke expelled from Sinatra’s lungs“, Comparing someone to great Sinatra what more I can say.I researched about Mansard Roof and find that it’s more about sheltering more in less.Amazing song with amazing feelings.

If you missed the voice of Sinatra no worry you can still have smoke from his lungs.Enjoy it
