Fashion Nugget – Cake
Cake has been around since 1994 and they have released a total of five albums.
“Fashion Nugget” is Cakes sophomore album and it is considered there best. Cake combines funk, garage rock, jazz, new-wave, and alt/rock to create incredible music.
This album features relaxing laid-back tracks, compelling and pump up songs, a few country influenced tunes, and straight forward rock music. Cake succeeds because they can do all of these things well

Dire-Straits:-Sultans Of Swing:Best Of Dire Straits
“That ain’t working. That’s the way you do it. … Get your money for nothing and your chicks for free.”
Named after one of the best song by Dire Straits. It’s a album for all the Dire Strait fans ,it’s a best collection of great songs by Dire Straits.Songs like “Sultans of Swing”,”Romeo and Juliet”,”Tunnel of Love”,”So Far Away”,”Money for Nothing” make this album very special for me,because I am a big fan of Mark Knopfler and this is the album to pick if you want to feel neo-dance culture of 80s.
Sultan of swing :-This song inspired from a band who was performing in a bar where people were so drunk to appreciate the performance of that band, band members were pissed of by attitude of crowd, but in the end of show leader of band said adieu to crowd by saying,” Goodnight and thank you. We are the sultans of swing.” ,this incident gave inspiration to Mark Knopfler. An awesome guitar riff combined with an awesome guitar solo attributed to an awesome performer and composer.
Money for Nothing:-Mark Knopfler wrote it after overhearing delivery men in a New York department store complain about their jobs while watching MTV. He wrote the song in the store sitting at a kitchen display they had set up.This is one of the first animation video of any song and a real hit on MTV.It also won a Grammy in 1986 for best Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group.
So Far Away:-One of my favorite Dire Straits’s song, so much emotions from guitar riff and meaning of song is also damn good. It’s song personal favorite of Mark.
Grab this album right away for Dire Strait and enjoy because Money for nothing and chicks for free.
Dizzy Up the Girl – Goo Goo Dolls
Dizzy Up the Girl – Goo Goo Dolls
I have been a fan of this band for over a decade, its a real pleasure for me to introduce them to you.
The Goo Goo Dolls formed in the mid-80’s in Buffalo, NY. Since then, they have launched themselves from Buffalo to “Broadway” with hit singles and great albums. The trio, Robby, Mike and John, plays with passion, determination and heart in every song.
Dizzy Up the Girl is a fantastic album to start with, it has great tracks and real good melodies. There is this raw essence in Rzeznik’s voice that makes this album more natural and honest.
I’m sure most of you guys would have heard the track “Iris“, which was a sensational hit across the globe, but honestly the whole album is really good, the tracks are well divided and have brilliant lyrics.
Personal fav’s : “Slide” , “Broadway”, “Bullet Proof”, “All Eyes on Me”, “Acoustic #3″.
I can talk about this band for days, best is you check out the album.
A must have!!
Parachutes
I swam across
I jumped across for you
Oh all the things you do
Cause you were all yellow………..
The most soothing voice and moreover love around the music, that’s is what this album is all about.A debut album at a time when rock music need something different, something refreshing and something divine enough to touch the chords of heart beats. In following years of after their debut album ColdPlay proved again and again. But Parachutes will remain most beautiful album like sweet sixteen.
Every song from this album is worth to give ear but some songs are special like
Yellow:- They changed the meaning of yellow for me.It was considered as a cowardly color and from this standpoint the singer is fearing to express his love but he has to” jump across” to find his love ,a right tone.I love this song and lyrics so much that I really need a girlfriend to express this song….:)
Shiver:-when Chris Martin says “shiiiivvveeerrrrrr” the song becomes magical and inspiring.Tts alomst like crying out ‘looking what i’ll do for you, look how much i care‘.It was the first hit of ColdPlay so the special one.
Trouble:-This is about a guy who realizes too late that he has gotten himself into something really bad and can’t get himself out. He figures out that he got there by hurting another person badly and is trying to apologize to that person.
I came along
I wrote a song for you
And all the things you do
And it was called yellow………………..

Every song on this album has its merits. Obviously, “The Distance” and “Frank Sinatra” rank high on everyone’s lists. However, many of the other songs are worth notice. The bizarre “Open Book” is appealing in its odd harmonies and disjointedness. “Daria” gets my vote for the strangest lyric of the album: “[I won't be] smoothed over like milk, silk, a bedspread, or a quilt, icing on a cake, or a serene transluscent lake.” “It’s Coming Down” is both cynical and humorous regarding a breakup, saying “She’s gone and she’s wearing your red sweater.”
All in all this is a fantastic album. This is a very easy album to get into, the songs are accessible and laid-back. Jazzy trumpet lines along with well done guitar lines make this album fun, relaxing and sometimes these songs can even be compelling.
