Devil May Care – Sebastian Faulks

Devil May Care – Sebastian Faulks

A few years ago I read about half of the original Ian Fleming 007 series and generally found them quite enjoyable and different than I had expected based on the film franchise. Don’t get me wrong, they’re not great literature, but they are ripping yarns that reflect their era and are much darker than one might expect.

The first good thing is that the book follows the chronology just of the original Fleming books.

One thing I enjoyed most about this novel is that the author did a great job of channeling Ian Fleming’s style and pace of writting. The details of meals, drinks, clothes, locations – all hallmarks of Fleming’s works. The story is real fun, well paced and a quick read.

This is honestly a great read !!
